The news has been filled with reports about the strong start to the holiday shopping season, especially for online retailers. A recent study shows that there are good reasons to online stores to be optimistic for the rest of the holiday season. This study was consucted of Safe Home Products and is called "Holiday Shopping: How Consumers are using this year." The survey results demonstrate a strong interest in making online purchases by consumers this holiday season. This information was given in a recent press release from Safe Home Products.It was revealed in the survey that 95% of those questioned about their holiday shopping plans this year plans to make at least a portion of their shopping online this year. Many have actually found that they prefer to do their shopping online when compared with the traditional brick and mortar stores. 65 percent of respondents said they had plans to do more than half of their holiday shopping season, shopping online this year.So how much will these customers will use online this year? Well studay asked the participants. 42 percent of respondents indicate that they will spend over $ 500 this holiday season in online shopping. Only 33 percent of consumers studied showed that they intended to spend more online this year compared to how much they spend on online holiday shopping in 2006.While many organizations recommend shopping online at sites you've used previously and that you trust with reputable companies shows online shoppers are willing to consider visiting the new web site to make purchases. 85 percent according to the survey indicated that they will visit both the ancient sites they have acted in the past and new websites that interest them. Traders will not be abandoning their old favorites, though, as only 4% are expected to limit their purchases of new online sites where they have not made purchases in the past. "It also shows that online shopping consumers found their experience with internet retailers such as Home Products, convenient, satisfying and cost effective enough to return this year for holiday shopping."
